Privacy Policy and GDPR

The personal data I collect about you will include data relating to your name, address and contact details, I will also collect date on your animals, including their health well-being.

This data will be securely held in a locked cabinet, or on a password protected computer and kept for 7 years. 


Personal details will only be used by myself for the purposes of record keeping and communication with you. 


Other information will be used as a record of your animals ongoing performance, health and well-being.


You have the right to request access to this information and have the right to ask it to be erased. 


Information will only be shared with your prior consent.

Restore & Enhance Animal Physiotherapy


General Information

Restore & Enhance Animal Physiotherapy provides physiotherapy services for animals under veterinary referral.
All treatments are carried out by a qualified Veterinary Physiotherapist who is fully insured and a member of an appropriate professional body.
By booking or attending an appointment, you agree to the following terms and conditions.

 

Veterinary Referral and Consent

  • In accordance with the Veterinary Surgeons Act 1966 and the Veterinary Surgery (Exemptions) Order 2015, physiotherapy can only be carried out on animals with signed consent from the animal’s veterinary surgeon.
  • If consent has not been obtained, treatment cannot proceed.
  • Maintenance treatment may take place without specific veterinary referral, however, all animals should be referred to a vet at the first sign of any concerns that may suggest underlying health issues.

 

Treatment and Animal Welfare

  • The welfare of the animal is the highest priority.
  • If the animal becomes stressed, unwell, or aggressive, treatment may be paused or discontinued.
  • Owners or handlers must inform the physiotherapist of any change in the animal’s health, medication, or behaviour before each session.
  • The physiotherapist reserves the right to refuse or discontinue treatment if it is deemed unsafe or inappropriate.


Appointments and Cancellations

  • Appointments are available by prior booking only.
  • Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours in advance.
  • Appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice, or non-attendance, may incur the full session fee.
  • Repeated missed appointments may result in future bookings being declined.

 

Payment Terms

  • Payment is due at the time of treatment by cash, card, or bank transfer (as agreed).
  • Invoices must be settled within 7 days if alternative arrangements are made.
  • Elite Veterinary Physiotherapy reserves the right to charge interest on overdue invoices.
  • Insurance claims: It is the client’s responsibility to confirm cover with their insurer. Payment must be made in full at the time of treatment,

 

Owner Responsibility

  • Owners must ensure animals are clean and suitably restrained for treatment.
  • Dogs should be on a lead; cats or small animals should be in a secure carrier.
  • The owner or responsible adult must be present during treatment sessions.

 

Health & Safety

  • Please inform the physiotherapist of any allergies, health and safety risks, or behavioural concerns before treatment.
  • Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
  • Please keep all dogs on leads and under control on the premises.


Confidentiality and Data Protection

  • All client and patient information is treated as confidential and stored in compliance with the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018.
  • Information may be shared with your veterinary surgeon or insurer when necessary for the animal’s care.
  • Full details of how your data is handled can be found in the Privacy Policy.


Liability

  • All reasonable care is taken to ensure safety during treatment. However, animals can be unpredictable, and owners remain responsible for their animal’s behaviour.
  • Elite Veterinary Physiotherapy accepts no responsibility for injury or damage caused by clients or their animals on the premises or during treatment.

 

Complaints

  • Any concerns should be raised directly with Restore & Enhance Animal Physiotherapy as soon as possible.
  • Complaints will be investigated thoroughly and responded to in a timely manner.
  • If a resolution cannot be reached, the matter may be referred to the relevant professional or regulatory body.

 

Changes to Terms

Restore & Enhance Animal Physiotherapy reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. Updated versions will be available on the website or by request.
